Tips and Tricks Tutorial 01 by cosmosue

Clarification

I want to be very clear about something right now.  If you purchase stock, backgrounds, hair textures, etc. from me YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CREDIT ME this would completely defeat the purpose of your buying the license.  When you buy from me you buy a license to use the work in your creations WITHOUT HAVING TO GIVE A LINK OR CREDIT.

You DO NOT HAVE TO CREDIT!
You CAN MAKE ALL THE PRINTS YOU WANT!
You DO NOT HAVE TO ASK!
You CAN POST YOUR ART ANYWHERE

If you BUY the license which comes with EVERY PURCHASE then you can use them for your artwork, even commercially, the only thing you cannot do is redistribute them or make new backgrounds/stock with them, that is strictly forbidden!

This is for my PAID STOCK/Backgrounds!

I understand that some groups and clubs have their rules too that require you always post credits, if this is the case, then they are entitled to that, and you may have to find a different group to post in.

These are my rules, and this is my small business.  Please read my TOU that comes in a readme format in every package I sell.

When it comes to buying stock/backgrounds from Renderosity there is no way to force someone to credit you.  You paid for the license to use it, which means you do not have to link to it.  I do not link to all the props I use to create backgrounds, I do not upload all the photos I use that I took and link to them.  I do not use photos from other people unless they are given to me to specifically use in backgrounds.  I use my own photos, as for props, I have purchased a license for every single one of them.  Some props have cost me almost $100 for ONE ITEM.

I will say this, I do appreciate a link back you are helping me and you are helping my family of 5 when the word is spread about my resources.  It is a great help and it is very much appreciated it.  But it is not required.

So what if someone gives you some shit?  Give them a link and tell them to read the TOU.  My backgrounds are not difficult to find, link them here, or in your description simply write "background by cosmosue" you don't have to link directly to the pack or even the deviation.  I don't require it.

As for my free stuff?  Yes you do need to link back, always.

This is exactly why I dont post in groups. I watch several groups, and have found some really nice art. But it pisses me off that some groups have these restrictions, which even the original artists dont have!! I refuse to make all those links after I have purchased something with a TOU which doesnt require it, just to satisfy some idiots idea of right and wrong. Yes, its their group, and their rules, but it means I dont post, which means my art is usually only seen by ppl who stumble across it lol :(
