Rainy Day on the River

Been spending a lot of time on the Saluda River lately. Trying our luck at Fly Fishing, and yes its just as difficult as it looks lol.

Yesterday started promising with 2 small catches (not on flies but on a rebel lure) and then it almost instantly started raining, we were stuck under some trees for a while after having spent a good hour getting out to this spot from where we parked.

Took some trails back through the forest and by this time we were soaked, waited by yet another large tree and finally the sun came back out but by this time we were nearly soaked through and cold... that didn't stop me, we went back out onto the rocks to reach the deeper river water and fished for another hour or so with just 1 bite. It started getting darker and we made our way back to the shore and stayed there for a bit until a couple of rough looking folks showed up and I decided it was time to go.

At least this time we caught something lol
