75% hand paintined, the rest 3D and some brushes/sky from Renderosity. For the model I used V4 and a basic texture/character and repainted her entirely, used part of an outfit for V4 purchased through Renderosity and painted over that too. The most work was spent on the character and all of her details/wings/hair/skin/face/eyes etc. I did use a ref. for the flying fish - never seen one of those before - and hand painted them in.

This is #2 in a sort of "dance" series, it goes along with "Fire Dance" [link]
