This is an older work from last year - I went ahead and added a slight view of her other arm on the other side after getting feedback from the community on this. Few other things have a little more detail, everything else is the same.
Print file is updated.
Model - My neice - I took the photo, re-painted everything over the photograph, hair, tail, some scales are hand painted from scratch, threw some texture on the tail but painted some scales individually, some elements in the bg are 3d, but the kelp and dock are hand painted! The water effects are hand painted. Bubbles mostly hand painted.
The look on her face seems to express, "Why would anyone stick a wiggly slimy worm on a hook and drop it in the water?" As if the whole concept is foreign to her. Maybe if she pulls hard on the line she'll have an interesting turn of events. The face is charming,as I'm sure your niece must be. The water is deep and shadowed, showing us how deep the water is.With just enough sunlight.Fantastic to look at for sure.
I think this is my favorite of yours so far. I love the atmosphere you create in your work. I hope I can begin to create otherwordly effects like this as I learn PS & Painter
